| School Board Members Have Conflict of Interest
It can be described as a simple conflict of interest or
just pure skullduggery. Two members of the Fulton County School Board
are invited members (accepted) of the committee to reconstitute a Milton
County. The committee has one goal,, wrestle North Fulton from Fulton
County including Sandy Springs.
Having sitting members of the School Board on this
committee is clearly a violation of their oath. What's disturbing is
they may already have compromised themselves by passing along
information to this committee with or without the knowledge of their
colleagues on the board.
Interesting enough a study of a new Milton County was
published and linked to the School System website. The study stated that
a separate school system in South Fulton would be viable, whether that's
true or not I don't know.
The facts remain that our tax dollars are being spent
to build newer and bigger schools in North Fulton while South Fulton has
to continue struggling with older schools and equipment.

I would like the US Justice Department to step to rule
on the actions of the Milton Committee and these board members. Any
action by the board itself or any state agency will be in there favor,
knowing the make-up of the General Assembly.
