FULTON RESIDENTS INVITED TO MARTA HEARINGS
Changes proposed to services, fares and fees
Fulton County residents are invited to attend
upcoming public hearings to learn more about
proposed changes to MARTA rail and bus services,
and fares and fees.
Hearings are scheduled as followed:

Central Fulton - Tuesday, June 16, 7 p.m.,
Atlanta City Hall, 55 Trinity Avenue, Atlanta
·
North Fulton – Tuesday, June 16, 7 p.m., North
Fulton Service Center, 7741 Roswell Road, Sandy
Springs
·
South Fulton – Wednesday, June 17, 7 p.m., South
Fulton Service Center, 5600 Stonewall Tell Road,
College Park
For one hour prior to each session, beginning at
6 p.m., community members are invited to talk
one-on-one with MARTA representatives regarding
the proposed service changes.
Among the proposed changes to MARTA services are
the elimination of four bus routes, and changes
to dozens of others. A one-way fare increase
from $1.75 to $2.00 is also proposed. Proposed
modifications to rail service include greater
frequency between trains and shorter period of
service.

through a 1% sales tax dedicated to
operations of the state’s largest transit
system. Thousands of Fulton County residents
rely on MARTA for daily transportation.
